Vietnam has made great strides economically, culminating with the country's accession in the WTO in late 2006. The country has abundant natural resources, the second fastest growing economy in Asia, a population of 85 million with a median age of 26, foreign investment that is growing dramatically, and an industrious and aggressive work force that is beginning to become more prosperous and in turn will consume more. These and other factors underpinning Vietnam's strong performance should be in place for a number of years to come and provide a robust business environment.

IDP is a recently formed private equity fund (www.aim-capital.com) that was established to capitalize on the private investment opportunities arising from the rapid development and globalization of Vietnam and, to a lesser degree, Cambodia. We believe we have a unique value proposition to capitalize on the above trends. Most important is our affiliation with American Indochina Management Ltd., which provides a unique operating platform including over 100 people, a growing network of offices in key locations in the relevent regions, and over 15 years of in-country business experience and relationships.

The fund will focus on investment opportunities in industies familiar to AIM which should provide an advantage in sourcing, evaluating, and adding value to prospective investments. This, coupled with experience in private equity, corporate development, and emerging markets should result in a sound model for creating superior returns.
